Applications
Nepheline Syenite (CAS 37244-96-5) is primarily used as a fluxing agent in glass and ceramic formulations, supplying alkali (Na2O) and alumina to lower melting temperatures and improve glaze smoothness and durability. It serves as a raw material for ceramic bodies, porcelain, tiles and sanitaryware, contributing alumina and alkali to enhance firing stability and mechanical properties. The material is also used as a white filler and processing aid in coatings, paints, plastics and adhesives, helping adjust rheology, brightness and dimensional stability. In addition, Nepheline Syenite can be milled into fillers for paper and other composites to reduce cost and modify optical properties. Its application scope, however, depends on source quality and local regulations, and formulation-specific limits apply.
