  • Applications

Methyl N,N-dimethylanthranilate (CAS 10072-05-6) is a sweet grape-scented ester used widely to confer grape, citrus and strawberry flavours in confectionery, beverages and chewing gum; to serve as a fragrance modifier, fixative and natural UVA filter in perfumes, sunscreens and personal-care products; to mask off-odours in e-cigarette liquids; to act as an eco-friendly bird and insect repellent due to its low toxicity; and as an intermediate for synthesising coumarins, fluorescent dyes and pharmaceutical building blocks.
