    Melphalan (CAS 148-82-3) is an alkylating nitrogen mustard used as an anticancer agent in systemic chemotherapy. Its principal applications include treatment of cancer, most notably multiple myeloma and certain ovarian cancers; it is also employed in systemic chemotherapy regimens and in high-dose conditioning before autologous stem cell transplantation.
