    Lilac alcohol (isomers), CAS 33081-36-6, is a fragrance ingredient that imparts a fresh, green, slightly woody lilac nuance; it is widely used in fine fragrances and functional perfumery including shampoos, body washes, creams, deodorants, soaps, detergents, fabric softeners, hard-surface cleaners, air care sprays, candles, and reed diffusers, where it serves as a lilac theme builder, a top-to-heart modifier, and a blender that smooths sharp aldehydic or leafy facets; commonly combined with lilac aldehyde, phenethyl alcohol, linalool, terpineol, ionones/hedione and other spring florals to construct lilac, muguet and hyacinth accords; offers medium tenacity, good base stability (including alkaline soap bases), and useful masking of chemical off-notes in household substrates; typical usage in fragrance concentrates is 0.05–2% depending on matrix and desired impact; it can be microencapsulated or loaded onto carriers to improve fabric substantivity; always use in accordance with IFRA guidance, cosmetic labeling rules, and local safety assessments.
