  • Applications

Lauryl sucrose is a nonionic sugar-ester surfactant widely used as a mild cleansing agent and emulsifier in cosmetic and personal care formulations (shampoos, body washes, creams). It is also employed in household cleaning products as a nonionic surfactant to help remove oils and stabilize emulsions in dishwashing liquids and surface cleaners. In food processing, it may be used as an emulsifier or processing aid in select formulations, subject to regulatory approval. It can serve as a surfactant and dispersion aid in agricultural formulations to improve wetting and spread of agrochemical products. In coatings and inks, it acts as a surfactant to improve pigment dispersion and wetting of substrates. In pharmaceutical formulations, it may function as a solubilizer or emulsifier/excipient in certain products, depending on regulatory and formulation constraints.
