Applications
Laureth-2 is a nonionic surfactant used as an emulsifier, wetting agent, and dispersant in a range of formulations. Typical applications include cosmetics and personal care (shampoos, body washes, cleansers) where it helps form and stabilize emulsions; household cleaning products (detergents, dish liquids) as a surface-active agent; industrial manufacturing (emulsification and dispersion in paints, coatings, inks, and polymer processing); coatings and inks as a pigment dispersant and emulsifier; and polymer/plastics formulations as a processing aid and emulsifier in plastic manufacturing.
