Applications
lambda-Cyhalothrin (CAS 91465-08-6) is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide used primarily in crop protection. In agriculture and horticulture it is applied as foliar sprays and seed treatments to control a broad range of pests on vegetables, fruits, cereals, and ornamentals. It is also formulated for professional pest-control in greenhouse and nursery environments, as well as for urban and structural applications to protect buildings from common indoor and perimeter pests. In some regions, lambda-Cyhalothrin-containing products are evaluated for vector-control and public-health programs to reduce nuisance insect populations. Use is subject to local regulations and formulation labels.
