  • Applications

Jujubasaponin IV is a triterpenoid saponin with surface-active properties that can function as a natural surfactant and emulsifier. In practical formulations, it may be used as a processing aid in industrial manufacturing and as a functional additive in coatings and inks to improve wetting and dispersion. It is also applicable in cosmetics and personal care as a cleansing and foaming agent or emulsifier, and in household products such as cleaners where mild surfactant action is desired. In addition, because of its surfactant behavior, it may be evaluated as an additive in polymer or plastic formulations to aid dispersion and stability, and potentially as an adjuvant in agricultural spray formulations. Its use is subject to local regulations and formulation limits.
