    Isomenthol acetate (CAS 20777-45-1) is the acetate ester of isomenthol with a soft minty, slightly fruity–herbal odour, used as a flavour and fragrance ingredient in fine fragrances/body sprays (to impart freshness, extend mint notes, and round citrus, green and herbal accords), personal-care products such as shampoos, body washes, deodorants and creams (for a clean, cooling impression and background odour masking), oral-care formats (toothpastes, mouthwashes, floss) as a gentle mint booster that smooths the harshness of menthol, flavour applications in confectionery, chewing gum and beverages for a mild minty afterfeel, and in household cleaners and fabric care to signal “fresh/clean”; with moderate volatility and a smooth character it also serves as a profile modifier that enhances substantivity and masks off-notes, and it is compatible with ethanol, perfumery oils and common surfactant systems.
