  • Applications

Gluconic Acid (CAS 526-95-4) is used as a metal-chelating agent and stabilizer in household and industrial cleaners; as an acidulant and sequestrant in food processing and beverages; as a chelating agent and stabilizer in cosmetics and personal care formulations; in agriculture and fertilizers, gluconate salts are used to chelate metals and deliver micronutrients to crops; and it serves as an intermediate for producing gluconate salts (for example calcium gluconate) used in pharmaceutical and nutritional applications.
