    Geranyl formate (CAS 105-86-2) is a fruity-floral monoterpene ester broadly used as a fragrance and flavour ingredient in fine perfumes, eaux de toilette, soaps, shampoos, shower gels, creams and scented candles; as a flavour modifier for beverages, confectionery, chewing gum, bakery goods and canned fruit; as an aromatherapeutic agent to promote relaxation and stress relief; as an agricultural semiochemical serving as an insect attractant or olfactory marker in biological traps; and as a versatile intermediate for synthesising terpenoid derivatives and for phytochemical or pharmacological research.
