  • Applications

    Formamidopropyl betaine is commonly used as a mild zwitterionic surfactant in personal care formulations (shampoos, body washes, facial cleansers), contributing to foam generation, foam stability and conditioning properties. It is also employed in household and industrial cleaners as a co-surfactant to improve wetting, emulsification and cleaning performance. In coatings, inks and polymer formulations, it serves as a dispersant and wetting agent to stabilize emulsions and enhance compatibility among ingredients. In some polymer and plastics processing applications, it can function as an additive to improve processability and stability of aqueous dispersions.
