  • Applications

Folpet (CAS 133-07-3) is a broad-spectrum contact fungicide used in agriculture to control fungal diseases on fruit and vegetable crops, grapes, and ornamental plants. It is commonly formulated as wettable powders, flowables, or other sprayable products and applied as preventive foliar sprays to form a protective residue on leaf and fruit surfaces. In practice, it is employed in greenhouse and field programs and may be used alone or in tank-mix with other fungicides as part of integrated pest management. Folpet is also used in post-harvest handling to reduce storage rots on harvested produce, subject to local regulations and product labels. Its role is typically as a protective, contact fungicide rather than a systemic treatment.
