  • Applications

Chemical name: Ferrous sulfate heptahydrate; CAS 7782-63-0. Ferrous sulfate heptahydrate (FeSO4·7H2O) is widely used as an iron source in agriculture to correct iron deficiency in crops; as an iron supplement ingredient in pharmaceuticals and as a fortificant in fortified foods; as a coagulant/coagulant aid in drinking water and wastewater treatment to help remove particulates and phosphates; as a mordant or fixing agent in textile dyeing and printing with natural dyes; and as a source of Fe2+ in chemical synthesis and other industrial applications where ferrous ions are required.
