Applications
Fatty acids, olive-oil, Et esters (CAS 92044-99-0) are ethyl esters of olive-oil fatty acids, with a profile dominated by oleic acid and other C16–C18 fatty acids. In industrial practice, they are used as solvents and processing aids for coatings, inks, and cleaners; as plasticizers and processing aids for polymers and lubricants; as emollients and base oils in cosmetics and personal-care formulations; as carriers and formulation components in fragrance and flavor applications; and as renewable solvents or feedstock for biodiesel and other bio-based chemical products. They can also function as intermediates in chemical synthesis and in polymer processing.
