  • Applications

Ethylamine is a versatile primary amine used primarily as a chemical intermediate to prepare a broad range of amine-containing compounds. In industry it serves as a starting point for pharmaceutical and agrochemical intermediates, for the synthesis of dyes and pigments, and as a building block for amine-functional polymers and coatings. It is also employed in the production of surfactants and cleaning agents (including cationic surfactants) and as a curing agent or precursor in polyurethane/polyurea systems.
