Applications
Ethoxyquin (CAS 91-53-2) is a synthetic antioxidant used primarily as a stabilizer in animal feeds and pet foods to prevent oxidation of fats and oils, particularly in fish oils used in aquaculture diets. It is also used as a stabilizer and antioxidant in polymer formulations for plastics and rubber to reduce oxidative degradation during processing and service. In some industrial oil and lubricant systems, it may be used as an antioxidant additive.
