    Distearyl pentaerythritol diphosphite (CAS 3806-34-6) is used primarily as a heat and oxidative stabilizer in polymers, notably polyolefins and PVC, functioning as a phosphite antioxidant that decomposes hydroperoxides during processing to extend polymer stability. It is commonly added to formulations to improve color stability and long-term performance during extrusion and molding. In coatings and inks, the compound serves as an additive to enhance oxidation resistance of binders and finished films. It is also employed as an additive in lubricants and hydraulic fluids to prevent oil oxidation. In adhesive formulations, it can act as a stabilizing component, and it may serve as an intermediate for synthesizing other phosphorus-containing stabilizers, subject to local regulations and formulation limits.
