    Disodium sebacate, the disodium salt of sebacic acid, is used mainly as a chelating/sequestering agent and dispersant in cleaning formulations and industrial products, helping to bind hardness ions and stabilize pigment systems. It is commonly evaluated as a buffering/pH-adjusting component in household and personal care products and can act as a corrosion-inhibitor in metal-processing formulations.
