Applications
Diphenyl cresyl phosphate is a phosphorus ester used as a flame-retardant additive in polymers and coatings. It can also function as a plasticizer or processing aid in certain resin systems, improving flexibility and processability. In PVC formulations it is used as a stabilizer and processing additive to enhance fire performance and manufacturability. It is employed as an additive in coatings, paints, and adhesives to impart flame retardancy. As an intermediate, it may serve in the synthesis of other phosphorus-containing flame retardants. It may also be evaluated for use in electronic resin formulations (epoxy systems) to improve flame performance.
