Applications
Dioctyltin dilaurate is a tin-based organometal catalyst used primarily in polyurethane chemistry, where it accelerates the cure of urethane bonds in polyurethane systems such as foams (rigid and flexible), coatings, and elastomers; it is also employed as a catalyst in polyurethane adhesives and sealants. In polymer processing, it may act as a processing aid to improve cure kinetics and rheology.
