Applications
Dinonylphenol (CAS 1323-65-5) is primarily used as an intermediate in the production of alkylphenol–formaldehyde resins, to make tackifiers for coatings, inks, and adhesives. It is also used as a precursor for antioxidants and stabilizers in polymers such as PVC and polyolefins, improving thermal aging resistance and color stability. It is further considered as a precursor for UV stabilizers for plastics, and can participate as a component in resin modification and additive systems for coatings and adhesives.
