Applications
L-Dihydrocarvyl acetate (CAS 20777-49-5) is a naturally derived terpene ester with a fresh, mildly sweet mint-herbal scent that finds broad use in the fragrance industry to build lively top notes in perfumes, air-freshener sprays, scented candles and personal-care products, while also serving the flavor sector by adding cooling freshness to chewing gum, mint candies and non-alcoholic beverages; thanks to its biocompatibility and moderate volatility, it functions as an intermediate for complex terpene derivatives, an aroma modifier in tobacco, an odourant for household detergents, an off-note masker in technical formulations and a low-odour solvent for cosmetics, complying with IFRA and FEMA guidelines and enabling formulators to achieve long-lasting, clean freshness at very low dosage levels.
