    Dicamba (CAS 1918-00-9) is used primarily as the active ingredient in selective post-emergence herbicides to control broadleaf weeds in agriculture, commonly formulated as salts or esters to optimize uptake and reduce volatility; it is also employed in professional turf and landscape management (lawns, ornamental plantings, and roadside or industrial areas) and in forestry for brush control in plantations and reforestation; additional applications include non-crop weed management in industrial sites and along roads and rail corridors; consumer lawn-care products may contain dicamba for home-use weed control, all subject to local regulations and formulation limits.
