    Di-tert-butyl peroxide (CAS 110-05-4) is primarily used as a free-radical initiator in polymerization processes, initiating the polymerization of vinyl and olefin monomers such as styrene and acrylates. It also acts as a curing/initiator for crosslinking of unsaturated polyester resins in coatings, laminates, and composites. In rubber and elastomer production, it serves as a free-radical initiator for polymerization and crosslinking. It is used in adhesive and sealant formulations to promote radical curing. Additionally, it is employed in coating and ink systems to drive polymerization and film formation through radical initiation.
