    Decyl Betaine (CAS 2644-45-3) is a mild zwitterionic surfactant used as a co-surfactant and emulsifier in a range of formulations. In practice, it is commonly employed as a primary or secondary surfactant in cosmetics/personal care (shampoos, body washes, cleansers) and in household cleaners, contributing to foam, cleansing performance and skin mildness. It is also used as a stabilizing agent and conditioning additive in rinse-off products, and as a wetting and dispersing agent in industrial cleaners, coatings and inks, and as an adjuvant in agricultural formulations to improve spread and wetting; it may also function as a solubilizer or excipient in pharmaceutical formulations, depending on regulations and formulation limits.
