    Cypermethrin is a pyrethroid insecticide widely used in agriculture to protect crops from a range of pests and damage; it is also formulated into consumer pest-control products for indoor and outdoor use, such as sprays or dusts to manage household and urban insect problems. In addition, cypermethrin is used in public health vector-control programs to reduce the density of disease-carrying insects.
