Cyclohexane;sulfamic acid has broad applications across several industries. Cyclohexane is a nonpolar solvent and reaction medium used in industrial manufacturing, serves as a feedstock for the synthesis of cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol and, in turn, nylon-6 production, and also functions as a solvent for coatings, inks, and fragrance extraction. Sulfamic acid is a solid acid catalyst used in esterification and certain acylation/transesterification steps in organic synthesis; it is also employed as a descaling and cleaning agent in household and industrial formulations; and it can act as a pH-control component and a mild chelating agent in cleaning and formulation applications.
