    Cyclododecane, ethoxy-, CAS 2986-53-0 is employed as a specialty solvent and processing aid in a range of formulations. In perfumery and cosmetics it may act as a fragrance solvent and solubilizer for aroma compounds and actives. In coatings and inks it can serve as a non-polar diluent to improve flow and film formation. In polymer and plastics processing it may be evaluated as a processing aid or intermediate for ether-containing cyclododecane derivatives. It can also function as an intermediate in organic synthesis to prepare related cyclododecane ethers, and may appear in cleaning formulations where moderate volatility solvents are desired, subject to local regulations.
