Applications
Cyclocopacamphene (CAS 24112-86-5) is a bicyclic monoterpene with a camphoraceous–pine odor, explored as a fragrance modifier in perfumes, detergents, air care, and personal-care products; as a feedstock/intermediate to access oxygenated terpene derivatives (ketones, alcohols, esters) for perfumery and fine chemicals; as a GC/GC–MS reference for retention-index and sensory studies; as a model substrate for rearrangements, selective oxidations, and asymmetric catalysis; and as a potential component in terpene-based resins/adhesives, controlled-release microencapsulation of aromas, and biobased/green-chemistry formulations, subject to applicable regulations and safety standards.
