  • Applications

Clopyralid (CAS 1702-17-6) is a selective herbicide and an active ingredient in formulations for broadleaf weed control in agriculture and land management. It is commonly applied to cereals, oilseeds, and legume crops to suppress broadleaf weeds with limited crop injury. It is also used in pasture and forage systems to control broadleaf weeds such as those that compete with grasses. In turf and landscape maintenance, clopyralid-based products provide selective control of broadleaf weeds in established lawns, golf courses, and other managed turf areas. Additionally, it is employed in non-crop vegetation management under professional weed-control programs for rights-of-way, industrial sites, and maintained landscapes, typically as part of integrated weed management.
