  • Applications

Cetyl sulfate sodium salt, an anionic surfactant (CAS 1120-01-0), is widely used in cosmetics and personal care as a cleansing, foaming, and emulsifying agent in products such as shampoos and body washes; it also acts as a wetting agent and stabilizer in household cleaners and surface detergents. In industrial manufacturing it serves as a surfactant and dispersant in degreasers and formulated cleaners, and in paint, coatings, and inks it improves wetting, pigment dispersion, and additive compatibility. In polymers and plastics processing it can stabilize polymer emulsions and latex systems used in specialty coatings and adhesive formulations.
