    Calcium chloride (CAS 10043-52-4) is widely used across industries for several practical applications: as a road de-icing brine for winter maintenance and anti-icing on surfaces, as a dust suppressant and humidity controller on unpaved or construction sites, and as a concrete set accelerator and curing aid in construction; in food processing it is commonly used as a firming agent and a calcium source for fortification; as a drying agent and desiccant for gases, solvents, and packaging moisture control; and in agriculture as a calcium fertilizer to address calcium deficiencies in crops and soil.
