    Butyl decyl phthalate (CAS 89-19-0) is primarily used as a plasticizer for PVC and other polymers, improving flexibility, elongation, and processing characteristics. In practice it is employed in PVC and polymer formulations, coatings and printing inks, and adhesive and sealant systems to impart softness and film-forming properties, as well as a processing aid in elastomer and polymer blends. It may also function as a solvent or carrier in certain formulations, subject to local regulations and formulation limits.
