Applications
Buflomedil is primarily used as an active pharmaceutical ingredient in vasodilator therapies to improve peripheral and cerebral microcirculation. In pharmaceutical manufacturing and hospital formulations, it is prepared as oral tablets and injectable forms for the treatment of peripheral vascular disorders such as intermittent claudication and related circulatory insufficiencies, and is also studied for its effects on microcirculation and tissue perfusion. It may also be considered for combination with other vasodilators or agents that enhance blood flow within regulated therapeutic protocols, subject to local regulations and formulation limits.
