  • Applications

Bis(2,4-di-tert-butyl-6-methyl phenyl) ethyl phosphite, CAS 145650-60-8, is an organophosphite widely used as a thermal stabilizer and antioxidant for polymers and coatings during compounding and processing, particularly in polyolefins and PVC. It also serves as a processing additive in coatings and inks to enhance heat stability and oxidative resistance. In lubricant formulations it acts as an antioxidant/stabilizer to retard oxidation. In adhesive and sealant systems it functions as a stabilizer to improve aging resistance. Additionally, it can be used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other organophosphite stabilizers and antioxidants; subject to local regulations and formulation limits.
