Applications
Bis(2-ethylhexyl) adipate (DEHA, CAS 103-23-1) is a long-chain, low-temperature plasticizer prized for imparting softness, flexibility and glass-transition depression to a broad range of polymers; it is widely employed in flexible PVC for cling film, food-grade wraps, medical tubing, synthetic leather, protective gloves, cable insulation and cold-resistant rubber items, and also functions as a carrier solvent in agrochemicals, a biodegradable base oil for lubricants and hydraulic fluids, an internal lubricant in polymer processing, and an additive in nitrocellulose coatings, printing inks and pressure-sensitive adhesives; its low volatility, mild odour and limited migration meet stringent food-contact regulations while boosting end-product clarity, heat-sealability, weather resistance and service life.
