  • Applications

Behenoyl diethanolamide (CAS 70496-39-8) is a long-chain fatty amide used as a thickener and surfactant in cosmetic and personal care formulations as well as cleaning products. It thickens surfactant-rich systems such as shampoos, body washes and liquid cleaners; functions as a surfactant and aids foam formation and stability; in hair care, it can act as a conditioning agent and contribute to a light film on the hair; it serves as an emulsifier/stabilizer in cosmetic emulsions; and can act as a viscosity modifier in water-based industrial formulations and cleaners.
