Applications
Aluminium tri(decanolate) (CAS 26303-54-8) is the aluminum salt of decanoic acid (a fatty-acid metal soap) and is used as a rheology modifier and thickener in cosmetics and personal care; in paints, coatings and inks it functions as a rheology modifier and thickener to improve flow and stability; it can serve as a lubricant additive in industrial lubricants; it is also evaluated as a processing aid or stabilizer in polymers such as PVC; and it may act as a catalyst or catalyst precursor in certain organic syntheses and polymerization processes.
