    Allyltrichlorosilane (CAS 107-37-9) is commonly used as a silane coupling agent and intermediate for introducing allyl functionality into silicone polymers, resins, and adhesive systems, enabling crosslinking and improved film-forming properties. It serves as a precursor to allyl-functional silanes for surface modification of inorganic substrates such as glass and metal oxides, to improve adhesion and provide reactive allyl sites. It is employed in the synthesis of UV- or heat-curable coatings and inks after conversion to allyl silanes, and as a building block in specialty siloxane formulations for coatings, sealants, and elastomer systems.
