    Allo-aromadendrenoxide (CAS 85760-81-2) is a sesquiterpene oxide found in essential oils (e.g., Eucalyptus and other Myrtaceae) and is used primarily in perfumery to impart woody–resinous, slightly herbal notes and to aid fixation in fine fragrances, personal care products, soaps, detergents, and candles; analytically it serves as a GC‑MS reference/marker for identification, quantification, quality control, and botanical authentication of essential oils; in bioactivity research it is investigated for antimicrobial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties and for synergistic roles in natural preservation and personal-care formulations (subject to IFRA/local regulations); it is also explored in entomology and crop protection as a plant-derived odorant with insect-repellent/inhibitory potential, and in environmental/atmospheric studies as a reference compound to probe transformation, emissions, and secondary organic aerosol formation of biogenic VOCs.
