Applications
Acid Yellow 1 (CAS 846-70-8) is primarily used as an acid azo dye for protein fibers such as wool and silk, and for leather finishing. It is also employed as a dye intermediate in the synthesis of other azo dyes and pigments. In addition, it may be used as a colorant in industrial coatings and inks and can be found in formulations for polymers and plastics, subject to local regulations and formulation limits.
