Applications
Acid orange 7 (CAS 633-96-5) is a soluble azo dye primarily used as a colorant for textiles, especially on protein fibers such as wool and silk (and may be used for nylon). It is also employed for leather dyeing and as a colorant in industrial inks and coatings, as well as in plastics and polymer formulations. Additionally, as an azo dye intermediate, it is used in the synthesis of other azo dyes. Its use is subject to local regulations and formulation limits.
