  • Applications

δ-Tridecalactone (CAS 7370-92-5) is a creamy, fruity lactone widely used in foods and beverages (dairy, ice cream, confectionery, soft drinks, alcoholic products) to impart coconut-peach richness and mask off-notes, in cosmetics and perfumery to add smooth, long-lasting lactonic warmth to soaps, shampoos and lotions, in flavor and fragrance research as a GC-MS reference and chiral study material, and it is also investigated as a semiochemical component for insect behavior modulation in pest management.
