Applications
2,2'-Methylenebis(4-methyl-6-tert-butylphenol) (CAS 119-47-1) is a hindered phenol antioxidant and heat stabilizer widely used as an oxidation inhibitor in polymers and rubber to prevent thermal-oxidative degradation during processing and service; typical applications include stabilization of polyolefins (PE, PP), PVC, and synthetic rubbers, as well as use in lubricants and industrial oils to improve oxidation stability, and it can serve as a stabilizer in coatings and inks and in adhesive formulations to extend product durability under heat and light.
