Applications
1,4-Undecadiene (CAS 53786-93-9) is a linear dialkenic hydrocarbon used primarily as a reactive monomer in polymer synthesis. It serves as a comonomer in specialty copolymers and as a crosslinking component in unsaturated polyester resins, coatings, and adhesive formulations. It can function as a reactive diluent or plasticizer in UV-curable coatings and inks to adjust viscosity and cure behavior. It also acts as an intermediate in the manufacture of other chemicals and performance polymers. In industrial materials processing, its two olefinic double bonds enable controlled incorporation of flexible segments and crosslinking.
