    1,2-Dichloroethane (CAS 107-06-2) is primarily used as a feedstock for vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) production, enabling the manufacture of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It also serves as an industrial solvent for degreasing and formulation of coatings, adhesives, and inks.
