Applications
1-Hexacosanol (CAS 506-52-5) is a long-chain fatty alcohol widely used in cosmetics and personal care as an emollient and conditioning agent, and as a thickener or rheology modifier in certain formulations. It also serves as a nonionic surfactant/emulsifier in household cleaners and other cleaning products. As a waxy component, it is employed in polishes, coatings and related products to improve gloss and slip. In industrial manufacturing and polymers, it can act as a processing aid and lubricating agent to facilitate extrusion or molding, and may serve as a waxy lubricant/anti-blocking additive in plastics and blends. Subject to local regulations and formulation limits.
