    Terpinene 4-acetate (terpinen-4-yl acetate, CAS 4821-04-9) là một este terpen dùng rộng rãi trong nước hoa, mỹ phẩm và hương liệu nhờ mùi thơm tươi mát, thảo mộc, hơi gỗ với sắc thái tràm trà/lavender; nó được dùng để xây dựng các tông fougère, cam chanh, herbal, pine và spicy, làm chất điều biến mùi giúp làm mềm các nốt terpen gắt, tăng độ nở hương và cải thiện cảm giác sạch trong xà phòng, chất tẩy rửa, dầu gội, chất khử mùi, kem dưỡng, nến và sản phẩm khử mùi không khí; trong hương liệu thực phẩm, có thể dùng ở mức rất thấp để thêm nét citrus–thảo mộc vào đồ uống, kẹo, kẹo cao su, sản phẩm nướng; trong công nghiệp mùi hương, còn là chất trung gian tổng hợp và chất pha loãng tương hợp tốt với limonene, linalool, các ester và alcohol terpen, giúp cân bằng độ bay hơi của công thức; lưu ý công thức theo hướng dẫn IFRA và quy định địa phương, dùng ở hàm lượng vết đến vài phần trăm tùy ứng dụng, tránh kiềm/axit mạnh và nhiệt/UV kéo dài để hạn chế thủy phân.
