    Exo-1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-yl acetate (CAS 125-12-2), thường gọi là isobornyl acetate, là một este monoterpen có hương gỗ thông–long não dễ chịu, được dùng rộng rãi làm chất tạo hương và cố định mùi trong nước hoa, xà phòng, chất tẩy rửa, chất khử mùi, chất làm thơm không khí và nến; dùng làm hương liệu ở hàm lượng rất thấp để mang nốt thảo mộc–balsamic cho kẹo, kẹo cao su và đồ uống; làm dung môi sôi cao và chất đồng dung môi/đồng kết màng trong sơn, mực in, vecni nitrocellulose, nhựa alkyd và chất kết dính nhờ độ hòa tan tốt và bay hơi chậm giúp cải thiện độ chảy và hình thành màng; làm chất hóa dẻo nhẹ và chất mang hương trong polymer; là trung gian quan trọng trong chu trình sản xuất long não (thủy phân thành isoborneol rồi oxy hóa) và trong chế tạo monome acrylate/methacrylate gốc isobornyl cho sơn đóng rắn UV; đồng thời có mặt trong sản phẩm kiểm soát mùi, chăm sóc ô tô và gia dụng nhờ hồ sơ an toàn thuận lợi, khả năng phân hủy sinh học và hiệu ứng khử mùi nhẹ.
